Dustin Purnell - Redmond Site Coordinator

I have been involved with this program for the last four years, and a Site Coordinator for the past two.  My dad, Ken, was the previous Site Coordinator, and still helps out tremendously with the class.

I spent most of my years growing up in John Day, Oregon, but moved to Salem (I still have not got used to the rain) to go to college at Western Baptist College where I received my Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting and Finance.  After spending a short time as an auditor, I knew I wanted to teach and coach.  I recently received my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Western Oregon University in 2004 and have been teaching Accounting and Marketing at Sprague High School since then.  I run the school DECA chapter (marketing club) and coach the JV baseball team at Sprague and have enjoyed it very much the last three years.

My wife, Haley, and I have been married for almost three years and have wasted no time in starting a family.  We have a one-year old son (Bo) and another boy on the way.  I love spending time together with the fam and look forward to our new addition.

My hobbies include golf, coaching, and camping and will soon include yard maintenance as I attempt to put in a yard at our new house this summer.
