Matt Kincaid is a faculty member at Columbia Basin College where he teaches business and leadership courses in the Bachelor of Applied Science Program. His courses include Leadership and Communication, Organizational Behavior, and Operations Management. For his teaching, he has been rated by students as one of the stop instructor’s in the program every quarter he has taught, with 100% of students placing him in the top 25% of instructors. Matt is also the Assistant Director of Leadership Programs at Columbia Basin College, where he and his colleagues provide leadership education and coaching to corporate managers in various industries throughout the Pacific Northwest. Matt’s work regarding servant-leadership, corporate social responsibility, and community stewardship has been published in multiple journals, including The International Journal of Servant-Leadership. He has also been featured in two editions of an undergraduate business textbook, Management, published by Pearson Prentice Hall. For his research, he was recently awarded a grant from the Institute for Action Against Hate for his work on studying and understanding the relationships between adversity and hatred. Matt also serves on the Board of Trustees for a global non-profit organization, The Center for Sharing.
Prior to joining Columba Basin College, Matt worked as an innovation consultant, developing corporate strategic plans for Fortune 500 companies in the United States, The Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Australia. He has also owned and operated two businesses in the food and beverage industry, pioneering a new region for a restaurant franchise in Indiana and revamping a second business in Washington State.
Matt’s educational background includes degrees from Gonzaga University—a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Doctorate of Philosophy Degree in Leadership Studies, in which he is currently completing his dissertation. Matt lives in Kennewick, WA with his wife and their two children.
