State of Our State
Tom Changnon was elected Stanislaus County Superintendent of schools in November, 2006 and sworn into office on January 9, 2007. As Superintendent he oversees the Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) with a staff of 925 and a budget of over $200 million. SCOE provides direct instructional programs and support services to the 26 school districts in Stanislaus County. This includes 178 schools and nearly 106,000 students. The office also provides regional programs and services in a seven-county area.

Steve Ritter is an internationally recognized expert on team dynamics whose clients include Fortune 500 companies, professional sports teams, and many educational organizations. He is on the faculty of Elmhurst College where he earned the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Steve is also the Senior Vice President, Director of Human Resources at Leaders Bank, named the #1 Best Place to Work in Illinois in 2006. Steve has researched the principles behind The Team Clock Institute for over three decades and is the acclaimed author of Team Clock: A Guide to Breakthrough Teams.
Matt Kincaid teaches business courses at both Columbia Basin College and Walla Walla Community College in Washington State, and is a Candidate for the Doctoral Degree in Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. He has worked as an entrepreneur in the food and beverage industry, owning and operating several small businesses, and as a corporate business consultant, building innovation strategy for the nation’s top Fortune 500 companies. He has led research projects, corporate workshops, and numerous focus groups internationally, and has published multiple research articles in peer-reviewed, international leadership journals.
