Not to belittle any of the earlier speakers, but it was like a Fourth Of July fireworks display. You started with the good fireworks Monday through Wednesday; and finished with Thursday and Friday being the Grand Finale. It was a great week, time and money well spent. Just to let you know, I appreciate the way you challenge us every year to come up with a project that we have been thinking about, but never put into action. Every project that I have put into words has been a benefit to my teaching and I do have you to thank. I designed a cooking program for my kids one year, made a schedule for teaching "Character First", started a fun and meaningful daily exercise block in the classroom, and last year I made a packet that I will be using to teach the math WASL expectations in the spring. If it wasn't for Summer Institute's challenge to me, I would not have accomplished these goals. Thank you and Happy New Year!
